In 2021, Christy started on a new journey to become a licensed nail tech. We will let you get to know Christy later in her bio. But Christy's journey led her to a definitive realization. She, herself, enjoyed going to a salon and getting acrylic nails with beautiful nail art but she also loved the more in depth, self-care enriched, spa style pedicures and manicures.
It just seemed odd that there wasn't a hybrid salon/spa that offered both styles of services at the same time. And that is where the concept of New Beginnings Nails & More LLC began.
We set out to make this concept a reality. We wanted to create a calm, tranquil environment and offer sixty and ninety minute, spa style pedicures that included the benefits of reflexology massage and other techniques as well as providing the softgel and acrylic nails, with the salon style artwork as an all in one experience!
We feel that everyone should have an affordable option for self-care that includes high quality products and spa type services while focusing on and providing a relaxing and therapeutic environment so you may experience the true benefits of self-care that you deserve at one convenient location without sacrificing the self-image services that you also love.
Meet
Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a lifelong resident of Confluence and graduated from Rockwood Area High School in 2025. While in high school, she attended the Cosmetology program at the Somerset County Technology Center and successfully earned her full Pennsylvania cosmetologist license. Her passion for nail art really shines through—she even captured second runner-up in the nail art category at the SkillsUSAPA District 9, 2025 competition during her senior year.
Elizabeth has always had a deep love for art—drawing, sketching, and painting. She especially enjoys painting scenes in nature, and this artistic side is what pushed her toward careers centered around artistic creation that people could enjoy.
She considered everything from becoming a tattoo artist to the many facets of cosmetology. Choosing cosmetology in high school turned out to be a perfect fit! It didn't take long for Elizabeth to realize that nails offer an incredible canvas with endless possibilities. With cool colors, different shapes, extension options, and even 3D art—all without being permanent—she found her calling! Elizabeth loves turning your inspiration into beautiful, real-life art that you can enjoy and change up for all the holidays, seasons, and all of your special occasions.
